Norske økosamfunns forening formidler økosamfunnstiltak og vi oppmuntrer alle medlemmer til å presentere sine tiltak, prosjekter og kurs på vår Facebook side og på åpne møter. Presentasjone sendes . På åpne møter kan medlemmer få innledningene filmet om ønskelig. Vi har frivillig medlemskontingent og du kan melde deg inn og få mer informasjon.
Åpne møter i NØF høsten 2014
Informasjon om åpne møter hadde dessverre falt ut av forrige nyhetsbrev.
Vi har to Åpne Møter denne høsten, begge i møtelokalene til Studieforbundet SO i Motzfeldsgate 1. Vennligst sett av datoene.

Program åpent møte 10 september
Innhold: Presentasjon av prosjekter og tiltak med innledning. Dei som ønsker kan få innledningen filmet og lagt ut på www.okosamfunn.no. Her kan dere linke videre til egen side.
Det legges opp til dialog, deling, spørsmål og romslig pause med deling av hva folk har med. Ta gjerne med noe fra høsten grøde til felles glede.

SÅ ET FRØ inviterer til HØSTFEST
i Kistefosshagen, Heggedal sentrum, søndag 7. september kl. 13.00 – 15.00
Tradisjonen tro inviterer vi til HØSTFEST og vil veldig gjerne treffe nettopp DEG denne første søndagen i september! Dette er en dag hvor vi møtes & feirer høstens grøde & hverandre! Det er også en anledning til å bli bedre kjent med SÅ ET FRØ og andre likesinnede i lokalmiljøet.
Foreløpig programm
- Velkommen, ved Kristin Ellefsen, initiativtaker og prosjektleder for SÅ ET FRØ
- Miljøsjef Bjørn Nordby kommer og vil fortelle om Asker kommunes miljøsatsing. Vi gleder oss!
- Fløytespill ved Else-Marie Haakonsen, entusiastisk medlem av SÅ ET FRØ, bakgrunn som musikkpedagog og amatørmusikant i mange sjangre.
- Vi tenner bålfatene og serverer gratis, rykende varm, velsmakende og nærende økologisk suppe. Selvsagt hjemmelagd fra bunnen.
- Vår gode nabo, galleriet Pikene ved broen, selger kaffe, te, saft og kaker
- Det blir verksted for liten & stor:
– Støpning av lekre fulgebad i sement under ledelse av Joanna Szybiak
– Tegneverksted for barn - Asker birøkterlag kommer med gjennomsiktig bikube (vet du hvordan en bikube ser ut innvendig?) og det blir anledning til å melde seg på birøkterkurs.
- Grønt marked.
– Ragna Ribe Jørgensen, initiativtaker og daglig leder av BIBY = Nettverk vil selge utsøkt norsk honning, mange forskjellige sorter. Tro meg, den topper det jeg har smakt av honningen på år.
– Stein D. Berge deler ut/selger hjemmepresset eplesaft.
– Salg av økologiske frø til en god pris
– Utlodding av oppskriftsbok: restemat fra Grønn Hverdag

Baltic Ecovillage Network. BEN meeting & «Sustainable life-style and urban food production»
Turku, Finland 5.-7.9 october 2014. Tentative schedule and program:
Friday the 5th of September: 14:00h Evening Extended BEN board meeting at Koroinen, Turku.
Saturday the 6th of September: After breakfast Building the event at Koroinen. About 12:00h Evening «Sustainable life-style and urban food production» event
Sunday the 7th of September: About 11:00 – 15:00 «Sustainable life-style and urban food production» event. About 15:00 – Closing of the event. Start to excursion to Livonsaari Communal Village, at your own cost. (See more information below!) Evening at Livonsaari Walking tour around the ecovillage, sauna, dinner.
Monday the 8th of September. After breakfast A ride from Livonsaari to Turku. The more exact schedule and program will be sent later.
Locations
The meeting, all our meals (including breakfast) and the event take place at Koroinen, also called LUMO-center (http://koroinen.org > In English). It is a small ”farm” at a historical, beautiful place beside a river. The center is run by an NGO called “Culturally living Koroinen”. They are specialiced among other things in permaculture and natural materials. You can find the place in Google Map with the address: Koroistentie 2, Turku, Finland.
The accommodation is in Konsan Kartano (Konsan Manor which is not really a manor 🙂 http://www.konsankartano.fi/en. You can find it in Google Map with the address: Virusmäentie 9, Turku.
The distance between Konsan Kartano and Koroinen is 1,7 km. So it is possible to walk between the places. But we will have some cars to give a ride to those who find it difficult to walk.
By train: From Helsinki to Turku there runs a train every hour from early in the morning until 23:00h (not 22:00h). It takes about 2 hours. Timetables and tickets: www.vr.fi/cs/vr/en/frontpage.
We will send you more information later, how to get to Koroinen and Konsan Kartano from the Turku City Center (or train station or bus station…). We can also help you with train and bus timetables if there are difficulties to find the information.
Payments and travel reimbursements
Accommodation and food is free for two persons from each BEN country. If more persons are willing to come, the prices are at the maximum: 66 Euros for all the meals and 30- ??? Euros for the accommodation for two nights. (The price of the accommodation depends on how many we are and what kind of rooms are available. Likely the price is near to 30 Euros.)

Introductory seminar on Ecovillage Living – 10th to 12th October 2014, at Jevnaker in Oppland

We will use Permaculture to design Ecovillages. Participants will learn methods and techniques, and see examples of Ecovillages, with Permaculture Designers Craig Gisborne from Findhorn and Jan Martin Bang. The seminar will be in English.
Permaculture
Permaculture is about designing sustainable human settlements. It is a philosophical and practical approach to land use integrating microclimate, functional plants, animals, soils, water management and human needs into intricately connected, highly productive systems. Permaculture means thinking carefully about our environment, our use of resources and how we supply our needs. It aims to create systems that will sustain not only for the present, but also for future generations. The idea is one of cooperation with nature and each other, of caring for the earth and people and presenting an approach to designing environments that have the diversity, stability and resilience of natural ecosystems, to regenerate damaged land and preserve environments which are still intact. Permaculture is right design based on environmental ethics.
Ecovillages
Ecovillages are: Human scale, usually thought of as somewhere between 50 and 500 members, but with exceptions.
Fully featured settlements, in which the major functions of life, food provision; manufacture; leisure; social life; and commerce, are all present in balanced proportions. Human activities should be harmlessly integrated into the natural world, with an ideal of equality between humans and other forms of life. Supportive of healthy human development. A balanced and integrated approach to fulfilling human needs – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual, not just for individuals, but for the community as a whole. Successfully able to continue into the indefinite future. This is the principle of sustainability, and indeed, in many cases Ecovillages and Sustainable Communities are terms that are used interchangeably.
The programme will consist of talks, discussions, group work, films and slides. It will be suitable for both experienced Ecovillagers and for beginners. Our aims are:
- That participants understand how Ecovillages fit into our western culture, history and development.
- That they gain insights into the development of Ecovillages over the last two decades.
- That they learn about the varied elements that go to make up an Ecovillage.
- That they learn how to set up and nurture a local group that wants to establish an Ecovillage.
- That they learn about networking with the Norwegian Ecovillage Association and the Global Ecovillage Netwørk.

Teachers and facilitators:
Craig Gibsone is from Australia and has lived at the Findhorn Foundation for over 40 years. He was involved in establishing the Global Ecovillage Network in 1995 and has developed several courses in both Permaculture and Ecovillage Living. He teaches the annual four-week ”Applied Ecovillage Living” course at Findhorn.
Jan Martin Bang is Norwegian, has lived in England and Israel, and in income sharing communities for 25 years. He is a Permaculture Designer and has written 5 books on community and ecology. He lives in Norway and is active in both the Norwegian Permaculture Association and the Norwegian Ecovillage Association.
Jan and Craig are writing a book together about Permaculture at the Findhorn Ecovillage to be published by Findhorn Press in 2015.
Cost, booking and information
The price of the seminar is 1500,- NOK if this is paid before 15th September. After this the price is 2 000,- NOK. This includes all meals, and simple, shared accommodation. Bring a sleeping bag, mattresses will be provided. For those wishing a bed at a local guesthouse, please contact Tone Eikaas for details and price.
The seminar will be held at the old station building in Jevnaker. For details of how to get there by public transport, please get in touch. There are regular bus connections from Oslo and from Gardermoen Airport.
The meals will be vegetarian, anyone with allergies or special dietary requirements, please let us know beforehand.

Nu tar vi upp anmälningar till årets Nordiska Möte som går av stapeln den 19-21 september. Vi kommer att vara hos Ralf Palmers på Växthuset, www.vaxhuset.se, strax utanför Söderhamn. WordPress er et av de mest brukte programmene til å lage nettsider som eksisterer i dag. Dette er et spesialtilpasset kurs til deg som ikke har kjennskap til WordPress, men som trenger å lage en nettside eller gjøre om egen nettside. Begge dagene fra 10:00-17:00. Pris for kurset er kr.4300.
